Gluten-Free Appetizers and a board game are a great way to have a #GlutinoHoliday cozy night in with your loved ones this winter. We enjoyed our cozy night in with wine, crackers topped with goat cheese and blackberry compote, and our favorite game.
This post is sponsored by Glutino. As always, all opinions are mine and not influenced. We LOVE Glutino’s products and were excited to enjoy a #GlutinoHoliday cozy night in this holiday season.
With two kids, we rarely get out for a date. We’re either running them around to their soccer games, carting them back and forth to friends houses and sporting events, or we’re taking them with us to dinner and a movie.
We love our two girls, but sometimes we parents needs some time alone.
This year my husband and I started having date nights in – or cozy nights in as we now like to call them.
They are simple, but we enjoy our quite time together, delicious gluten-free appetizers, and sip on lovely wine.
Up until a few weeks ago, we had been overdue on our night in. I kept thinking about it, but then would forget with all the activities for our girls (you know how this goes).
It wasn’t until I received a box from Glutino that I made my plan.
I was ecstatic when I opened the box and found that they had sent me a box of each of their Multigrain Crackers, Cheddar Crackers, and Original Crackers. Glutino crackers are perfect for snacking and for appetizers.
I had blackberries and goat cheese in refrigerator that I had been meaning to use, and the crackers were exactly what I needed to make a plan for our cozy night in.
There are so many things you can do with crackers. In my opinion, they are a universal food.
Every country I’ve ever visited has some sort of cracker.
We love crackers because not only can we snack on them, we can make everything from mini pizzas to fancy appetizers with them with very little work.
All you have to do is top, pop, and chew.
On our cozy night in we popped some popcorn for our girls and set them upstairs with a movie.
I opened up a bottle of wine, and whipped up a quick serving of blackberry compote (recipe below).
I spread goat cheese on six of each cracker, and topped half with my blackberry compote and the other half with slivered almonds, honey, and pomegranate seeds.
We set up the Scrabble board and loaded our coffee table with our appetizers and wine, including a plate of Glutino crackers, cheese, and ham. Although my husband usually wins at scrabble (he uses really big words with q’s and z’s), we had a great time.
We were able to talk, sip, munch on our appetizers, and enjoy our cozy night in.
One of the great things about these appetizers is that they are ready in minutes, and don’t require cooking and baking.
I’m sure your wondering how I could make a blackberry compote that is “no cook”.
I cheated. Plain and simple.
The recipe is below if you want to cheat at making a wonderful blackberry compote too.

I buy Glutino crackers for myself (I’m glutenfree) and love them! I’ve tried cream cheese and red pepper jelly as an appetizer and they’re addicting. I can only imagine how delicious it’d be with goat cheese and blackberries! Thanks for the great recipe
