Canyon Bakehouse is launching a new big, gluten-free, slice loaf called the Heritage Style Loaf and I can’t wait to tell you about it. It is available now in Target stores nationwide and will be available in Whole Foods and Sprouts in February. You guys are going to swoon.
When we first went gluten-free I searched and searched for a gluten-free bread that everyone in my family would eat. We’ve found some good breads, but not one brand that we all loved. About a year ago I was introduced to Canyon Bakehouse by a friend of mine. There tag line is “Love bread again.” Let me tell you, since trying their breads, bagels, and now their Heritage loaves, we definitely love bread again.
So many people comment on how small gluten-free bread loaves are. I personally didn’t think they were that small and if I wanted more sandwich, I’d just make a second one – no biggie. For those who like a bigger slice of bread, or to build a two-handed sandwich, you need to try this bread. It’s sandwich-life-changing. It’s wide. It’s big. It’s plentiful and it’s quite delicious.
The Canyon Bakehouse Heritage Loaf comes in two flavors: Honey White and Whole Grain. They sent us a loaf of each to try and we were seriously sad we ran out. We made some monster sandwiches and enjoyed every bite. My husband had a turkey, lettuce, Gouda, sliced apple and lettuce sandwich, while my girls went for grilled cheese (surprise, surprise). I had the same sandwich as my dear hubby minus the Gouda.
Do you see how the slice of cheese in the top picture doesn’t even reach the sides of the bread? That’s how wide it is! Yes, that’s a standard slice of cheese. I’m so excited about the new Heritage loaf and I love that they’ll be hitting stores in a few weeks.
These loafs are Gluten-Free and Non-GMO. They are soft and sponge-like, like a good loaf should be and they DO NOT crumble when you eat them. Which is HUGE in my family (and probably yours too).
