Fancy up your weeknight dinners with a simple, yet sexy Gluten-Free Italian Chicken Burger. No need to grab takeout, this flavorful and healthy sandwich is ready in less than fifteen minutes.
School’s back in session and our schedules are packed. Homework, soccer, girls scouts – you name it and it’s calendared. I do quite a bit of food prep on Sundays, but we still make dinners at home.
Some nights I want to lay on the couch and have dinner magically appear on the table (who doesn’t, right?).
Instead of having my dear husband grab something on his way home from work, I try to think of new fun dinners that take less than 15 minutes to make. And the less clean up the BETTER!
That way there’s no excuse for not making something at home. My family can continue to eat healthy, and we know that we’re safe from cross contamination that you often find at takeout places that aren’t dedicated gluten-free.
One of our favorite products is First Fresh Chicken Sausage. There are tons of recipes you can make with chicken and they don’t have to be in the shape of a sausage.
When I made these Gluten-Free Italian Chicken Burgers I only had First Fresh Mild Italian Chicken Sausages on hand. I simply removed the casing and shaped them into patties. Easy-peasy.
The patties cooked up in under ten minutes, making them an easy option for dinner that’s not only high in protein, but is also lower in fat and calories (for those of us who count calories).
First Fresh Chicken Sausage is packed with amazing spices, so there’s no need to add any – they are perfectly seasoned for you. You can check out my full review of First Fresh for more information on their products.
We grilled up some sliced onions and peppers to sneak in veggies, and topped the chicken burger patty with marinara sauce and provolone.
My family loves Canyon Bakehouse Gluten-Free Burger Buns, so of course we toasted up a bun for each of us.
We ate a side salad with our Gluten-Free Italian Chicken Burger to round out the meal.
In total, it took me 15 minutes to make our entire dinner. We will definitely keep these tasty Gluten-Free Italian Chicken Burgers in our dinner rotation
There’s no need for us to grab a burger on the way home now that we have a delicious and easy recipe to turn to.
