Are you tired of Halloween? I’m still ramping up to it. We have now been invited to three (yes!! three) Halloween parties. One invite came from a family friend, and the other two from our girls friends. We can’t possible separate on Halloween, so we’re going to attend one party all together.
Although I plan to have the crock pot on at home, cooking our dinner, we’re still planning on bringing fun snack foods – like these Halloween Pizza Mummies – and enjoying the festivities.
I don’t usually do themed foods for parties because honestly, I get a little carried away and end spending hours working on decorating. Take my “Frozen” Cake for instance.
A friend asked me to make her 4-year-old a cake and 4 hours later I showed up with a Frozen themed gluten-free vanilla cake. I had fun decorating it and my friends daughter is begging me to make her next birthday cake.
She’s into “Pink Ballerina Ninja Princesses,” and I just can’t land on an idea for a cake. Ha!
This year I was asked to bring a Halloween themed snack to the one party that we are attending. Knowing the Halloween falls on a Monday, and I’ve got to work until 5:00, I decided to make these cute little Gluten-Free Halloween Pizza Mummies.
I could make a bunch in advance, but I’m planning on having all the kids decorate their mummies. Less work for me and more fun activities for the kids.
These Pizza Mummies only use four ingredients and you can bake a bunch at a time on a cookie sheet.
If you want to do some prep work ahead of time, you could cut the cheese strips and drain the can of olives – still easy-peasy.
Everything you need to feed a crowd Gluten-Free Halloween Pizza Mummies fits into one bag and travels well.
I hope you enjoy these Pizza Mummies as much as we do. Have a safe and Happy Gluten-Fee Halloween!
