Krusteaz Mixes were a childhood favorite of mine. They’re mixes are simple, require minimal ingredients to be added, and include a large variety to choose from. I was excited to find out that they make gluten-free mixes and I can’t wait to tell you about them!
Did you know that Krusteaz made gluten-free mixes? I didn’t until recently and I was buzzing to try them. Krusteaz kindly sent me three of their gluten-free mixes to try, the cornbread mix, blueberry mix, and pancake mix, and I baked them up as soon as we received them. Right now they have five different gluten-free mixes on the shelves (fingers crossed for more in the future):
- Gluten-Free All Purpose Flour
- Gluten-Free Blueberry Muffin Mix
- Gluten-Free Buttermilk Pancake Mix
- Gluten-Free Double Chocolate Brownie Mix
- Gluten-Free Cornbread Mix
For anyone living a busy, gluten-free lifestyle, you know that it can be hard to find time to make fresh baked goods. We like to keep things simple in our kitchen, and usually stick to easy recipes or gluten-free mixes. Each of the Krusteaz mixes that we tried were simple, true to baking time, and tasted amazing. My girls made the blueberry muffins by themselves, while I made the cornbread muffins and the pancakes.
If you are just getting started with a gluten-free lifestyle, I recommend starting with gluten-free mixes. Krusteaz is a great option for beginning bakers and expert bakers alike.
The cornbread muffins, blueberry muffins, and pancakes were light, fluffy, and tender. Our favorite mix out the of three was the Krusteaz Gluten-Free Cornbread Mix. We made cornbread muffins and snacked on them throughout the week. One of the reasons we loved them so much was because they stayed moist for a couple of days and didn’t dry out like some of the other cornbread mixes we’ve tried.
The cornbread had a slightly sweet flavor, without being too sweet and was delicious plain, with dairy-free butter, and with honey. I only need to add milk (I used dairy-free), oil, and eggs and the mix. I loved that our cornbread muffins were ready in less than 20 minutes. Sweet, simple, and quick!
My girls were begging me to let them eat the cornbread muffins two at a time but with four of us, I had to serve them one at a time so we wouldn’t eat the whole batch in one sitting.
Krusteaz mixes can be found in stores. To find a specific gluten-free mix visit their store locator page. I know our family will definitely be enjoying additional Krusteaz mixes in the future.
Disclaimer: Krusteaz provided me with three gluten-free mixes. My opinion was not influenced by receiving the product free of charge.
