    Strawberry Pineapple Smoothie

Smoothies are a great way to refresh our bodies, please our appetite, and get in some extra fruits and veggies.

My girls and I love smoothies and this Strawberry Pineapple Smoothie is our newest favorite smoothie without yogurt.

My husband loves all the baked goods, but he's not a smoothie kind of guy. His go-to fruit is apples and salad is his number one veggie.

He likes to eat his food, while the girls and I don't mind sipping on ours - especially when it's loaded with yummy sweet fruits like strawberries and pineapple.

How to make a smoothie without yogurt

I often get asked how to make a smoothie without yogurt. Yogurt adds flavor and it helps deliver the smooth, creamy texture.

Even thought this pineapple smoothie recipe doesn't call for yogurt (unless you swap the milk with it), there are ways to substitute yogurt and get a similar texture.

If you want to make a smoothie recipe without yogurt simply replace the yogurt with banana, whipping cream, or coconut cream.

All three add flavor to the smoothie while also providing a creamy texture.

When I first was making this strawberry pineapple smoothie I only whipped up the pineapple, but it needed something more.

We wanted more than just pineapple... it needed STRAWBERRIES!

Both of us love strawberries (who doesn't?) and we have tons of ripe strawberries in our garden right now.

The next day I froze pineapple chunks and tossed those plus strawberries into our blender again.

You wouldn't believe how smooth and delicious it was. Just two ingredients and WOW, this strawberry pineapple smoothie knocked our socks off.

And it was so smooth and creamy.

    Strawberry Pineapple Smoothie Add-Ins

If you want to mix this strawberry pineapple smoothie recipe up a bit you can add one ore more of the following smoothie add-ins.

    -Vanilla protien powder

-Add banana to make this a strawberry pineapple banana smoothie

    -Add other berries

    - If you don't need a smoothie without yogurt, you can also add plain or vanilla yogurt

You can also add collagen if you like to take collagen. Use a flavorless brand to keep this strawberry pineapple smoothie recipe tasting fresh.

How to make a strawberry pineapple smoothie

You aren't going to believe this, but you only need to throw the almond milk (or regular milk), strawberries, and pineapple into a blender to make this strawberry pineapple smoothie.

It's that simple and if you use red, ripe strawberries and sweet pineapple you'll have the perfect smoothie.

Add in a banana for a Strawberry Pineapple Banana Smoothie.

Make sure to add your liquid, whether it's almond milk, milk, water, juice, etc. first to the blender.

This will help keep your blender from getting stuck on the frozen fruits.

I'm super excited for you to try this easy, healthy, delicious strawberry pineapple smoothie.

Make sure to use ripe fruits, and if possible, fresh fruit.

You can use canned pineapple for this recipe, just be sure to drain the juice from the can before you freeze your pineapple chunks.

We like to reserve the juice to add to smoothies or my oldest drinks it straight up.

If you love smoothies you'll want to make this Chocolate Avocado Smoothie next. You might also like this Kiwi Smoothie. For another great smoothie recipe using pineapple, try this Pineapple Spinach Smoothie.
