Gluten Free Cherry Desserts
Aren't these little gluten-free cherry dessert shots sexy? (err- I mean adorable... or both). And let me tell you, mini desserts are IN.
Honestly, when are they not? I love mini desserts because of their ability to be delicious and sophisticated. They're perfect for serving at parties and the also help with portion control - for those of us that keep track of that sort of thing.
There are so many desserts that work well as mini's, pies being one of them. You can make little mini pies, hand pies, or serve them in a shot glass like I did with these gluten-free cherry pie dessert shots.
You can also serve trifles, puddings, cakes, and mousse's as minis. Just a couple months ago I made Gluten-Free Triple Chocolate Dessert shots. They were a huge hit and I've been meaning to create more decadent mini desserts since then.
Mini Desserts in a Glass
Last week my girls and I had an Allergy Friendly Icepop Party to celebrate the end of school and the start of summer. We had some crushed Enjoy Life Foods Vanilla Honey Grahams left and I HATE wasting food. My girls voted to sprinkle the cookie crumbs over their dairy-free ice cream the next day (which is a great idea), but I had bigger plans.
My mother-in-law had just dropped off 10lbs. of fresh picked tart cherries. As soon as the tub of cherries hit the counter, my mind raced with all the amazing desserts I could make for you guys.
I instantly thought of using the cherries and left over grahams to make a gluten-free mini cherry dessert. Less than thirty minutes later, we were enjoying cool, refreshing, gluten-free cherry pie dessert shots.
Other mini desserts:
In just three ingredients and a few short minutes, your cherry pie filling will be cooling on your stove top. While your filling cools you can crush your cookies and start building your dessert shots.
Just imagine dipping your spoon into layers of gluten-free, dairy-free cookie crumbs, dairy-free whipped topping, and tart cherry pie filling. You won't even notice that you're not actually eating pie.
Your taste buds will be overwhelmed with happiness as you polish off your amazing dessert. Then, when you're satisfied, you'll only have a pan and a couple of spoons to clean up. See... I told you this dessert was sexy 😉
If you make these Gluten-Free Cherry Pie Dessert Shots please stop back by and let me know what you think.
