Hi! I'm a new reader, but I thought you would like to know about an editing error on this page. Underneath your wonderful step-by-step pictures for your GF Green Bean Casserole, you have "How to Make Gluten Free CREAM OF MUSHROOM SOUP" as the section head before you begin listing the steps for how to make the casserole.
This recipe looks delicious and I can't wait to try it. 🙂
chrystal
Thanks for the catch, Kristi! I just fixed it.

What do we do if we are using frozen green beans? It says in the recipe to see notes if using frozen, but there’s no note
chrystal
Sorry about that Kaylee. You can either blanch them for 5 minutes like you would frozen green beans, or run them under hot water to defrost them. The properties of vegetables change when frozen and they are softer when defrosted, then if they were fresh. In this case you don't need to blanch them first.

I love this healthy, yet delicious, recipe! I made it for my family last night and everyone loved it! I'm hoping to make some for my sister and her family but she is dairy free. Would using almond milk instead of normal milk work instead?
chrystal
Yes, you can use an unflavored almond milk.

I just made the GF Green Bean Casserole for our Thanksgiving dinner and it is a WOW! I used fresh organic green beans and topped it with the pork rinds and it was the best I've ever had. Nevermind that it had the added benefit of being GF. Kudos to the chef!

I am so glad you loved it. Thank you for letting me know.

I love your recipe as written. I'm thinking of getting creative and trying it with broccoli instead of green beans for a new side.
