Gluten Free Spaghetti Sauce
We've been eating spaghetti since I can remember. It's a simple kid-friendly meal. After switching to a gluten free diet I had a hard time finding a gluten free spaghetti sauce that didn't have a ton of sugar in it. This gluten free spaghetti sauce is simple to make and it's made without sugar.
If you're looking for a gluten free pasta sauce, this will be your new go to. You can make it head and freeze it and you can switch up the meat that you include. We love to add ground beef, ground turkey, and sometimes gluten free meatballs to the sauce.
How to make gluten free spaghetti sauce:
- For the sauce: In a large saucepan cook onion and garlic until the onion is translucent.
- Add the un-drained tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, broth, basil, oregano, salt and pepper and stir until combined.
- Bring the sauce to a boil then reduce the heat and simmer for 5 -10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Serve over your favorite pasta.

Ingredients
- 12 oz. gluten free pasta of choice
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14.5 oz.) crushed tomatoes
- 15 oz. tomato sauce
- 6 oz. tomato paste
- ½ cup broth (veggie, beef, or chicken)
- 1 tablespoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
Instructions
- Cook the gluten-free pasta according to package; set aside.
- For the sauce: In a large saucepan cook onion, and garlic until the onion is translucent.
- Add the un-drained tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, broth, basil, oregano, salt and pepper and stir until combined.
