Strawberry Overnight Oats Recipe
My family and I have been working on prepping meals on Sundays. Having healthy grab-and-go options for breakfast, like these Strawberry Overnight Oats, have been a huge help in the mornings.
Now, if we're in a rush, we can simply grab a jar of oats from the refrigerator and head out the door.
We're gluten-free and mostly dairy-free. What does "mostly dairy-free" mean for us? Well, my dear husband and youngest daughter still enjoy dairy, while my oldest daughter and I enjoy a dairy-free lifestyle.
We do keep cow's milk for my youngest in the refrigerator, but the rest of us drink dairy-free milk, eat dairy-free ice-cream, and love our vegan cheeses and butters.
There are lots of dairy-free options on the market: rice milk, coconut milk, nut milks, and flaxmilk. But you can use your milk of choice in this recipe.
Ingredients in Strawberry Overnight Oats
Oats - Use rolled oats for the best texture in these strawberry overnight oats.
Milk - We like to use almond milk or regular milk but you can use your milk of choice in these strawberry overnight oats. Vanilla and plain almond milk are both great.
Maple Syrup - You can use brown sugar, granulated sugar, honey, maple syrup, or a sugar free sweetener (use less) - it's up to you.
Chia Seeds - Chia seeds help to thicken the overnight oats and add some extra fiber and nutrients.
Strawberries - You can mix them in, or add the slices on top when you're ready to enjoy them.
Whipped Cream - This is optional, but we love adding a little whipped cream.

Weekly, readers reach out to me and ask me about substitutions for my recipes.
Most of the time they ask for substitutions for dairy, coconut, or nuts (including coconut and nut milks). More often than not, people who have Celiac disease or are intolerant to gluten are also allergic or intolerant to other foods like dairy and nuts.
Good Karma Flaxmilk comes in Unsweetened, Original, and Vanilla. Good Karma products are made with cold-pressed flaxseed oil - so all their products are rich in Omega-3s. We've tried all three flaxmilk flavors and they're all creamy and delicious. All Good Karma Foods products are gluten-free and free of major allergens.
You can use your favorite dairy-free milk or regular milk in this recipe.
